Publikasi Diri Sendiri

Assalamu'alaikum Wr. Wr.

Perkenalkan, Nama saya Herdi.
Saya lahir di Bogor, pada tanggal 14 Mei 1989.
Saya anak kedua dari 3 bersaudara.
Kata orang sih anak kedua itu biasanya "Produk berhasil". hehe
Karena katanya, anak pertama itu bisa dikatakan "Produk coba-coba", sedangkan anak ketiga atau terakhir dikatakan "Produk Sisa". hehe
Keluarka kami asli sunda, namun kami jarang menggunakan bahasa sunda dirumah.
Meskipun begitu, kami sedikit banyak juga bisa mengerti bahasa sunda.

Dahulu, saya bersekolah di SDN Ciampea 01. Sebuah SD didekat rumah kami.
Rumah kami memang di Desa/Kampung. Cukup Jauh dari bogor kota.
Namun saat SMP dan SMA, saya memutuskan untuk bersekolah di Bogor Kota.
Alhamdulillah nilai-nilai yang disyaratkan untuk masuk SMPN 6 Kota Bogor dan SMAN 5 Kota Bogor pun dapat saya penuhi.
Sekolah tersebut termasuk sekolah-sekolah unggulan di kota Bogor.

Namun saat akan memasuki bangku perkuliahan, saya memilih untuk tidsk mengambil universitas diBogor. Biar saya bisa sedikit banyak mengetahui wilayah-wilayah diluar bogor. Inginnya sih saya bisa masuk Universitas Indonesia. Namun apa boleh buat, nilai saya mungkin belum cukup untuk masuk kesana. Alhasil, saya pun memilih masuk ke universitas yang dekat-dekat situ. Maka jatuhlah pilihan saya pada Universitas Gunadarma.
Saya memilih jurusan Teknik Informatika, karena disamping saya menyukai komputer, jurusan TI ini pun yang paling bagus di Gundar.
Tanpa terasa, sekarang saya sudah berada ditinggkat terakhir, tingkat 4. Dengan IPK yang cukup, yaaaahh memuaskan. Namun entah mengapa, saat-saat terakhir ini saya malah merasa kalau saya salah masuk jurusan. Karena ternyata banyak pelajaran yang saya kurang mengerti. Yaaaahh, telat memang untuk disesali. Oleh karena itu, saya akan tetap berusaha, sampai saya berhasil mendapatkan gelar S1.

Tidak ada yang spesial dari diri saya.
Saya orang yang biasa saja, dengan keluarga biasa, dan juga kehidupan yang biasa.
Namun saya tetap berusaha mensyukuri atas apa yang saya punya.
Oke, Cukup segitu saja perkenalan dari saya. Mungkin agak sedikit kurang penting dan tidak jelas. Terima kasih untuk anda yang menyempatkan baca tulisan ini. Sekian.

Media Promosi

Media Promosi merupakan suatu alat untuk mengkomunikasikan suatu produk/jasa/image/perusahaan ataupun yang lain untuk dapat lebih dikenal masyarakat lebih luas. Media promosi yang paling tua adalah media dari mulut ke mulut. Media ini memang sangat efektif, tetapi kurang efisien karena kecepatan penyampainanya kurang bisa diukur dan diperkirakan.

Media promosi yang klasik mungkin saja berupa; brosur, poster, booklet, leaflet, spanduk, baligho, billboard, neon box, standing banner, kartu nama, kop surat, seragam pegawai, jam dinding, poster di mobil/truk, piring/gelas, iklan di tv, radio, spanduk terbang (ditarik pesawat), balon udara, iklan di media cetak, daftar menu, daftar harga dan sebagainya.

Tidak ada satupun media yang sangat tepat. Masing-masing memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan. Artinya, jika kita hanya menggunakan satu media untuk mempromosikan produk kita, jelas secara pasti efektifitasnya menjadi terbatas.

Iklan di koran, memang bisa menjangkau lebih banyak orang dan menghemat biaya distribusi tetapi usianya kurang dari 24 jam saja. Selain itu, koran hanya terbaca oleh orang-orang tertentu saja. Karena tidak semua orang membaca koran dan jumlah penerbit koran sudah lumayan banyak dengan pembaca yang berbeda-beda. Hanya orang tertentu yang berlangganan koran lebih dari satu buah.

Iklan di radio cukup mempengaruhi pendengarnya karena ia masuk melalui media pendengaran, tetapi usianya hanya beberapa detik dan hanya pada jam-jam tertentu saja radio memiliki banyak pendengar.

Promosi dengan brosur, cenderung lebih murah dan bisa diarahkan penyebarannya, tetapi kita semua tahu bahwa brosur yang dibagikan tidak pernah terbaca sampai habis dan usianya kurang dari 30 menit begitu sampai ditangan seseorang.

Promosi dengan billboard memang cukup mengundang perhatian pengguna jalan karena bentuknya besar dan kadang dilengkapi lampu penerang, tetapi pesan yang disampaikan menjadi terbatas karena rata-rata billboard harus sudah selesai dibaca dalam hitungan detik.

Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Media
Penyampaian pesan promosi menggunakan media tunggal saangat beresiko. Karena karakter media tersebut membatasi penyampaiannya kepada target yang hendak kita tuju. Banyak strategi pemasaran yang gagal karena membatasi penggunaan media promosi yang bervariatif.

Ada dua alasan tidak memanfaatkan media promosi yang bervariasi yaitu karena ketidaktahuan dan hambatan anggaran. Sementara kita sudah paham bahwa biaya promosi adalah ibarat umpan pada saat memancing. Besar-kecil umpan berhubungan langsung dengan besar-kecilnya hasil yang akan kita dapatkan. Umpan adalah sesuatu yang harus kita relakan terbuang.

Teknik memanfaatkan media promosi secara optimal adalah sebuah kecerdasan yang bisa dilatih. Yang diperlukan untuk membangun kecerdasan itu adalah kemampuan pengamatan yang jeli serta kemampuan menciptakan kreasi agar pesan-pesan yang kita sampaikan mampu menembus alam bawah sadar target kita.

Contoh dari kecerdasan itu adalah misalnya; dalam hal menggunakan media koran. Kita memiliki banyak pilihan berpromosi melalui media ini. Yang paling kasik adalah beriklan di bagian iklan kecil/baris (dihalaman yang sudah ditentukan), lalu iklan kolom (boleh memilih halaman yang diminati dan bisa berwarna), atau iklan kuping (di kanan/kiri nama koran), berupa advertorial (pariwara) atau berupa berita.

Kesemua pilihan tersebut diatas memiliki karakter yang berbeda-beda. Iklan baris/kecil biasanya cukup murah, tetapi jelas tidak dibaca oleh setiap orang. Iklan kuping umumnya mahal tetapi sangat efekti karena langsung terlhat pada saat orang belum membuka seluruh halamannya. Pariwara bisa memuat pesan yang banyak dan lebih menarik karena bisa disertakan foto dan ditulis dalam gaya bahasa laporan tapi biasanya berbiaya lumayan besar. Iklan melalui berita cenderung lebih hemat (maaf, paling uang kopi untuk wartawannya) tetapi kita harus menciptakan sesuatu agar memiliki nilai berita seperti aksi sosial, penciptaan tehnologi baru yang penting untuk publik dan sebagainya.

Jadi sekali lagi, walaupun kita masih menggunakan media promosi yang klasik, tetapi kita harus jeli mengamati kebiasaan dari target kita dan tahu memilih media yang tepat untuk memsatikan agar kita tidak membuang-buang biaya percuma.


Berdasarkan ukurannya, Media Promosi dapat dibedakan menjadi :
1. Media Promosi berukuran besar :
POSTER
Sering juga disebut plakat, yaitu desain grafis yang memuat komposisi gambar dan huruf di atas media berukuran besar. Biasanya ditempel pada dinding atau bidang datar dan dibuat menarik perhatian. Oleh karena itu, poster biasanya dibuat dengan warna-warna kontras dan kuat. Desainnya dibuat agar orang bisa mudah membaca informasi walaupun dalam posisi bergerak, mungkin sedang berkendara atau berjalan kaki. Karena itu, poster biasanya dibuat menurut kaidah; simpel, kontras, menarik perhatian, mempengaruhi, dan informasi cepat ditangkap.
Pada beberapa jenis poster, sisi “menarik perhatian” itu dimaksudkan untuk mengundang orang mendekati dan mencermati informasi yang disampaikan. Untuk jenis ini, biasanya dibuat dengan kualitas yang cukup baik.
Poster sering pula digunakan untuk tujuan iklan. Secara luas bisa memuat pengumuman atau pengenalan suatu acara, mempromosikan layanan, jasa, atau produk, juga bisa menjadi sarana propaganda untuk membentuk opini publik.
Termasuk dalam keluarga Poster ini antara lain:
Billboard

Yaitu iklan luar ruang dengan ukuran besar. Saat ini, billboard masih termasuk model iklan luar ruang yang banyak digunakan, apalagi di perkotaan. Pemasangannya bisa menggunakan struktur mandiri yang permanen, maupun menempel pada konstruksi bangunan permanen.
Pada perkembangan selanjutnya, muncul pula digital billboard berupa gambar atau running text yang menggunakan listrik sebagai catu daya. Megatron dan videotron termasuk dalam digital billboard ini.
Ada pula billboard yang bersifat mobile atau sering disebut mobile billboard, misalnya dipasang pada badan bus atau kendaraan besar lainnya. Tapi tulisan iseng di belakang bak truk misalnya “Kunanti Jandamu”, tentu saja tidak dapat dikategorikan ke dalam billbard ini.


Baliho
Sepertinya istilah ini hanya ada di Indonesia. Biasanya digunakan untuk menyebut poster besar atau billboard yang dipasang pada tempat/kedudukan yang semi permanen. Karena dudukannya semi permanen, baliho ini berumur pendek. Oleh karena itu, model ini banyak digunakan untuk promosi jangka pendek atau bersifat insidentil misalnya pemilihan umum, pemilihan presiden, pemilihan lurah, atau bisa juga digunakan untuk mempromosikan event tertentu misalnya pertandingan sepak bola tarkam (turnamen antar kampung), dan lain sebagainya.

Spanduk
Bentuk ini sangat sering dijumpai di tempat-tempat umum terutama di jalanan, bahkan banyak pula yang dipasang melintang di atas jalanan terikat pada tali pada masing-masing sisinya. Bentuknya khasnya adalah memanjang. Biasanya terbuat dari bahan kain, namun sekarang banyak pula yang dibuat dari bahan plastik.
Keluarga dekat spanduk adalah backdrop yang biasa dipasang sebagai latar belakang panggung pada suatu acara tertentu, dan lebih banyak bersifat dekoratif dibandingkan media promosi. Pada perkembangannya, backdrop menjadi penting karena memuat informasi ringkas mengenai acara bersangkutan, bahkan sering pula disisipi iklan dari sponsor kegiatan tersebut.

Banner
Dengan makin berkembangnya teknologi cetak format besar, berkembang pula produk poster. Muncullah format-format poster yang disebut banner. Biasanya, kualitas cetakannya cukup baik karena banner memungkinkan untuk dilihat dari jarak dekat.
Model ini tak hanya ditempel di dinding, bisa juga dipasang pada dudukan yang ringan sehingga mudah dipindahkan. Karena ada model dudukan yang berbentuk huruf X, pada akhirnya dikenal pula yang namanya X-Banner.

2. Media Promosi berukuran kecil :

PAMFLET
Sering juga disebut sebagai brosur, yaitu terbitan tidak berkala yang dapat terdiri dari satu hingga sejumlah kecil halaman, tidak terkait dengan terbitan lain, dan selesai dalam sekali terbit. Pamflet satu halaman bisa merupakan cetakan satu muka saja maupun cetakan dua muka atau bolak-balik. Tentu saja untuk cetakan dua muka, kualitas medianya pun lebih baik. Pada umumnya, pamflet dicetak dengan kualitas bagus karena dimaksudkan untuk membangun citra yang baik terhadap layanan atau produk yang diinformasikan dalam pamflet tersebut.
Berbeda dengan poster yang didesain didesain agar orang bisa mudah membaca informasi walaupun dalam posisi bergerak, pamflet atau brosur ditujukan agar dibaca secara khusus. Pada beberapa jenis, pamflet dimaksudkan agar orang menyimpannya agar sekali waktu digunakan bila membutuhkan informasi.

Termasuk dalam keluarga Pamflet antara lain:
Booklet
Terdiri dari beberapa halaman dan seringkali memiliki sampul, halaman judul, dijilid baik secara sederhana menggunakan staples maupun dijilid dengan hiasan misalnya menggunakan ring.
Sejumlah produk konsumen seperti barang elektronik (misalnya handphone), sering menyertakan buklet berisi spesifikasi produk atau penjelasan cara penggunaan (manual book) secara ringkas. Booklet atau buklet yang menyertai barang elektronik kadang-kadang memiliki jumlah halaman yang banyak dan tidak untuk habis dibaca dalam satu kali kesempatan. Album rekaman, seperti kaset atau CD sering menyertakan buklet yang berisi lirik lagu, foto, dan nama-nama artis pendukung.
Booklet yang biasanya terlihat seperti sebuah buku mini, bukan merupakan sarana beriklan secara langsung.

Katalog
Adalah saudara dekat booklet, bersifat sebagai daftar, dan menginformasikan berbagai macam hal dalam topik tertentu. Media promosi ini biasanya memuat informasi yang cukup lengkap.
Katalog sangat tepat digunakan untuk mempromosikan produk dengan jumlah banyak dengan penjelasan spesifikasi dan gambar masing-masing produk. Katalog akan memudahkan konsumen untuk bisa memilih sendiri produk mana yang sesuai dengan keinginan dan anggaran biayanya. Terkadang produk-produk yang ditampilkan pada katalog disertai juga dengan info diskon agar lebih menarik calon konsumen.

Leaflet
Merupakan jenis pamflet atau brosur yang paling populer. Biasanya terdiri dari satu lembar saja dengan cetakan dua muka. Namun yang khas dari leaflet adalah adanya lipatan yang membentuk beberapa bagian leaflet seolah-olah merupakan panel atau halaman tersendiri.
Kualitas cetakan leaflet biasanya bagus, dibuat dengan desain yang menarik, dan berisi informasi yang lengkap baik berupa gambar maupun tulisan. Karena bentuknya lipatan, pembuatan leaflet biasanya memperhatikan sisi psikologi orang membuka leaflet, sehingga desainnya pun dibuat untuk memudahkan orang menerima informasi yang ada pada leaflet tanpa terlalu banyak membolak-balik leaflet.
Dibanding dengan media promosi lain (booklet, katalog, flyer), leaflet sangat sering dijumpai karena bisa digunakan untuk bermacam hal misalnya mengenalkan produk, sebagai katalog mini atau booklet mini, profil perusahaan, dan lain sebagainya.

Flyer
Bisa jadi, nama ini terinspirasi dari penyebaran informasi melalui pesawat atau kendaraan yang disebarkan begitu saja di tempat umum. Media promosi ini melayang-layang sebelum diterima oleh target pembacanya. Walaupun begitu, cara penyebaran seperti itu sudah jarang sekali dilakukan. Namun, sesuai namanya, flyer biasanya hanya berupa cetakan satu muka. Kualitas cetakannya tidak musti bagus, bahkan seringkali berkualitas ala kadarnya sebab dibuat dalam jumlah besar dan berbiaya murah karena sudah diperkirakan bahwa banyak di antara flyer akan terbuang dalam waktu relatif singkat berganti fungsi menjadi bungkus kacang.
Walaupun begitu, flyer yang baik akan didesain dengan memperhatikan kaidah eye catching dan memorable.
Pada perkembangannya, flyer seringkali tak beda dengan leaflet namun tidak dilipat, hanya merupakan selembar kertas saja dengan kualitas cetakan yang bagus dan berwarna-warni menarik. Di Indonesia, jenis ini sering disebut sebagai selebaran.

Kartu Nama
Ada yang mengatakan bahwa kartu nama termasuk keluarga pamflet, namun ada pula yang mengkategorikan tersendiri. Biasanya kartu nama berukuran kecil kurang dari 9x6cm. Seperti namanya, kartu nama berisi perkenalan tentang seseorang. Informasinya bisa berisi nama, alamat, nomor kontak, institusi, dan lain sebagainya. Pada perkembangan selanjutnya, pada kartu nama sering pula disisipi gambar atau foto (klik pada gambar untuk mengetahui pemilik kartu nama)…
Kartu nama dibuat dengan sederhana dan informatif pada media yang cukup tebal (100-400gram) agar tidak mudah rusak ketika dimasukkan ke dalam dompet atau tempat kartu nama. Memang tujuan pembuatan kartu nama agar si penerima dapat menyimpannya dan sesekali menggunakannya apabila membutuhkan informasi yang digunakan untuk menghubungi si pemilik kartu nama.

Promosi dalam Marketing yang Paling Dasar

Promosi merupakan suatu tindakan menginformasikan atau memberitahukan pelanggan/ masyarakat mengenai suatu produk/merek tertentu. Promosi juga merupakan bagian dari rangkaian kegiatan pemasaran. Tanpa promosi maka strategi ini akan sulit untuk sampai kepada konsumen. Dengan adanya promosi, maka diharapkan akan meningkatkan permintaan akan barang dan jasa, meningkatkan laba, nilai promosi dengan dampak positif yang diharapkan bagi setiap produsen.

Strategi promosi lebih menekankan pada hubungan dengan pelanggan atau dikenal dengan istilah saat ini Customer Relationship Management atau istilah yang lebih baru Customer Experience Management yang tidak hanya memahami kebutuhan dan keinginan pelanggan tetapi juga memahami yang dipikirkan pelanggan.


Metode Promosi

Media promosi yang penting yang dapat dipakai untuk membangun suatu program penjualan efektif, yaitu :

1. Iklan

2. Kewiraniagaan ( Personal Selling )

3. Promosi Konsumen. ( Hadiah, Perlombaan , Penawaran Kombinasi )

4. Metode yang bertujuan merangsang iklan dan promosi dealer.

5. Pameran dan eksibisi.

6. Resiporitas

7. Jaminan dan servis

8. Penawaran komperatitif.

Tugas-tugas Iklan produk yang dapat digunakan oleh pengusaha ( manufacturers ) atau oleh produsen yaitu :

a. Mempromosikan penjualan suatu merek melalui pengecer – pengecer yang sekarang dengan mendapatkan langganan – langganan baru, dan membuat langganan – langganan yang sekarang membeli lebih banyak produk itu dari pad waktu yang lampau.

b. Membantu penjualan suatu produk bermerek dengan memberikan kepada konsumen nama dan alamat dari para pengecer terpilih yang menyediakan produk tersebut.

c. Jika produk itu dijual dari rumah ke rumah , maka iklan produk itu akan membantu menjual merek, dengan meratakan jalan untuk para wiraniaga dan memberikan tuntunan bagi wiraniaga untuk diikuti.

d. Membantu mendapatkan distribusi utnuk suatu produk baru, atau memperluas distribusi dari suatu produk lama, dengan merangsang permintaan pada took – toko pengecer melalui iklan konsumen, dan membangkitkan minat para pengecer terhadap produk itu melalui iklan yang ditujukan kepada mereka.

e. Mendorong para pengecer untuk mengadakan pameran, iklan, dan menjual secara aktif produk itu.

f. Memperluas penjualan suatu industri, atau untuk menangkis trend penjualan yang memburuk


Lebih besar persentase iklan pengusaha dan produsen yang ditujukan untuk meingkatkan bagian share (pasar) yang diperoleh merek individual dari penjual, yaitu Iklan yang ditujukan untuk mendorong permintaan yang selektif.




KEWIRANIAGAAN
Kewiraniagaan (Personal Selling) adalah unsur terpenting kedua bagi eksekutif untuk menentukan perpaduan promosinya dalam mendapatkan pesanan. Tujuan kewiraniagaan adalah :

v Mendapatkan pesanan untuk produk itu.

v Membuat agar pengecer aktif mempromosikan dan memamerkan produk itu ditempat penjualannya.
Membuat grosir ( wholesaler ) bekerja sama dengan pengusaha ( manufacture ) untuk aktif menjual produk itu atau dengan mendorong para pengecer untuk aktif ditempat penjualan dengan iklan penjual dan usaha –usaha promosi lainnya, dan

v Mendidik mereka yang dapat mempengaruhi pembelian untuk memilih perusahaannya dan produknya.

PROMOSI DEALER

Promosi dealer adalah unsur ketiga yang dimaksudkan kedalam perpaduan penjualan oleh banyak manufactur dalam usahanya mendapatkan pesanan. Promosi dealer meliputi berbagai jenis iklan, etalase, dan pameran interior, demontrasi produk, perlombaan konsumen, pemberian hadiah, penggunaan kombinasi penawaran, pembagian contoh cuma – cuma, dan aktivitas – aktivitas lain yang bertujuan meningkatkan penjualan suatu merek produk tertentu.


PROMOSI KONSUMEN

Promosi konsumen ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dampak yang cepat ditempat pembelian, barangkali bersama dengan satu atau lebih sasaran yang mendasarinya. Pemakain promosi konsumen ini sangat kontroversial. Jelaslah bahwa kebutuhan akan rangsangan yang kuat dalam program promosi itu bergantung pada apakah tanggapan pembeli dini (early buying respone) dapat atau tidak dapat diharapkan dari gabungan dampak iklan konsumen, kewirniagaan dan promosi dealer.


Jadi promosi konsumen itu adalah alat praktis jangka pendek yang bertujuan untuk merangsang tanggapan yang segera ditempat pembelian. Jika diterapkan dalam keadaan yang tepat, bersama-sama dengan unsur-unsur lain dalam perpaduan promosi, maka penggunaannya dapat memberikan hasil dalam janga pendek. Akan tetapi, manfaat jangka panjang dari pemakaian promosi adalah lebih sulit. Jika ia digunakan untuk mempromosikan contoh paksaan (forced sampling) dari suatu produk baru, manfaat jangka panjang memang mungkin dapat diraih. Dan jika ia digunakan dalam promosi dari merek yang sudah tekenal dan sudah mapan (established brands), peningkatan porsi pasarnya (share of market) biasanya hanya bersifat sementara.


APACS (Adaptive Planning and Control Sequence = Perencanaan Penyesuaian dan Urutan Pengawasan)

Studi MSI ini adalah berkenaan dengan bagaimana pengalokasian dana untuk perpaduan promosi iklan, kewiraniagaan, dan promosi penjualan dalam pemasaran produk – produk baru. Selain itu juga meliputi proses pengambilan keputusan promosi dari waktu pekerjaan dimulai dari perencanaan program sampai kepada alokasi dana untuk aktivitas – aktivitas tertentu.

Menurut konsep APACS ini terdiri dari 8 langkah dalam mengambil keputusan proses promosi tersebut, antara lain :

  1. Rumuskan maslah dan terapkan tujuan.
  2. Nilailah keseluruhan situasi. Tentukanlah potensi pasar, biaya manufacturing kebijaksanaan harga, dll serta tinjaulah pengalaman masa lampau.
  3. Tentukanlah tugas dan kenalilah alat – alat.
  4. Kenalilah rencana – rencana dan perpaduan – perpaduan alternatif.
  5. Taksirlah hasil – hasil yang diharapkan. Pergunakanlah pertimbangan dan pengalaman yang sejalan, tes lapangan, dan setiap teknik ilmu manajemen yang sesuai untuk meramalkan hasilnya berdasarkan criteria prestasi yang dapat diterima.
  6. Peninjauan dan keputusan oleh manajemen.
  7. Umpan balik dari hasil – hasil dan post audit.
  8. Menyesuaikan program jika diperlukan. Revisi atau kuatkan lagi sasaran –sasaran , sub sasaran, dan pengeluaran – pengeluaran yang diperlukan.
